GTA VI fans who have had a glimpse of its huge city in a new screenshot are left stunned by its sheer scale.

Despite Rockstar Games announcing back in February 2022 that the development of Grand Theft Auto VI had begun, fans are still being left in the dark in terms of its progress. At the time of writing, we’ve not seen an official trailer, let alone a screenshot.

Unfortunately for Rockstar Games, gameplay for GTA VI was leaked in 2022. However, that footage was from a very early build and was far from a true representation of the final product. That hasn't stopped GTA VI fans from poring over every inch of the footage, of course.

Well, it seems to add to the leaked woes of Rockstar Games, another apparent screenshot is making the sounds across social media, as shared by Reddit user HiiGuardian.

“If you were this far from the tall buildings in GTA V, you would be outside of the metropolitan area easily,” they said in a post featuring the alleged screenshot. “While it looks like you’re still in the city here. The city seems huge.”

The screenshot in question looks to be from a PlayStation build given that it features the Triange prompt over an avatar. It’s also seemingly an early version of the game as identified by the “Preview” text in the button right corner. What’s more, the location in the screenshot appears to be from an elevated landscape.

The Redditor mentions that the draw distance signals the scope of the map. That could very well be true, but without the context of actual gameplay, it’s difficult to say for sure. Still, judging by this very contained screenshot, it’s quite impressive nonetheless.

“There's a huge bay between the tall buildings and where the character currently is. The huge buildings are in Vice Beach, and the character is standing on the mainland,” explains tachyon_V. “Hopefully that still means we have a massive downtown and surrounding suburbs in addition to the resort and touristy area on South Beach,” replies East-Mycologist4401.

“Miami is likely to be a wide/long city along the oceanfront. At least that is what I am expecting it to be like. Similar to SA but stretched longer and may be less dense,” adds Whornz4.

In other recent GTA VI news, 12 cities and towns were confirmed in an apparent leak and another alleged screenshot had fans feeling blown away.
