Grand Theft Auto VI is on the way, at some point. Essentially, we’re all just waiting for Rockstar Games to put us out of our misery. We’ve been waiting for a long time but if all the recent leaks are anything to go by, we shouldn’t be waiting for GTA VI for too much longer.

We certainly know that development is well underway as last year, Rockstar was hit by a major cyber attack during which over an hour’s worth of GTA VI development footage was leaked online alongside screenshots and source code. In recent days, some of those screenshots have been doing the rounds on Reddit - and fans are stunned. If the leaked map is anything to go by, GTA VI looks set to be huge although fans aren’t keen on the fact that the game may be bringing back one of GTA V’s most-hated characters. There’s one gameplay mechanic that most people are excited to potentially see back in action though.

This incredible mod allows you to play as The Boys’ Homelander in GTA V.

As reported by GFinity Esports, fans believe that GTA VI should bring back San Andreas’ gang recruitment mechanic. If you’ve never played San Andreas (and you should), you can essentially recruit gang members to help you during missions and follow you around. Over on Reddit, user Yakuzahhz wrote, “GTA VI should have a gang recruitment system,” and plenty of people agreed.

JimBellious said, “Gang recruitment style or not, there has always been something awesome about getting NPCs to follow you around and carry out commands,” while solace1234 added, “San Andreas’ gang system was mind blowing for PS2 days. Turned the game into a lifestyle, in a single player no less.” GreatJobKiddo said, “Maybe the main characters can recruit bodyguards. Wouldn’t be a bad idea later in the storyline when you are much richer.”

AncapRanch was much more on board with that idea. They said, “Gang nope, but recruitment system for all kinds of bodyguards, business [people], pilots etc.” I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Rockstar has in store for us.
