Fuzion Frenzy was one of the all-time great multiplayer games, fans say

Xbox launch title Fuzion Frenzy is an all-time multiplayer great, fans agree.

Around these parts, we love to indulge ourselves in a generous dose of nostalgia from time to time. It’s undeniably fun to check out the latest AAA or hit indie to see the best and newest that the gaming industry has to offer but it’s equally enjoyable to go back in time and sample your favourites of yesteryear.

Personally, my nostalgic favourites are The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. The good news for me is that the creator of Hit & Run is open to working on a remake. Lately, gamers have been calling for a reboot of the SOCOM series, while others are hoping to see a PS5 remake of Matrix: The Path of Neo. God sim Black & White also has a major fan following. Today though, we’re going to be talking about Fuzion Frenzy - an all-time multiplayer great.

Reddit user SilentThomas took to the site to write, “So many great memories with Fuzion Frenzy. If only the sequel were as good as the original,” garnering over 28,000 upvotes in the process. Fuzion Frenzy was a launch title on the original Xbox, releasing back in 2001. Comprising 45 mini-games, Fuzion Frenzy allowed four players to battle it out. Plenty of fans are in agreement that not only is the game an all-time great, but it should also make a comeback.

Which were your favourite mini-games? User Mathalathieu said, “Twisted system & Sumo were top notch,” while b4ttous4i added, “I played Twisted System for hours.” Speaking of Twisted System, sicbastrd wrote, “I still feel every HUP”. HiZenBergh said, “Can absolutely hear this comment.” Ugh, same.

LeaveMeAloneLorenzo said, “Bro, I literally just downloaded this game the other day because my little brother referenced it, and we played it when we were kids almost 20 years ago. The first thing I did was boot up Twisted System on practice mode just to see how far I could get. Easily my favourite mode”. As an added fun fact, did you know that Fuzion Frenzy is reportedly one of Bill Gates’ favourite games?
