We’ve all got that one game. A favourite of yesteryear that we’re desperate to see make a comeback. I say one, chances are you’ve probably got a couple. I was waiting for Professor Layton to make a return and after a decade long wait, that prayer was answered at the last Nintendo Direct. Now I just need someone to announce a remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run and my wishes will be truly fulfilled.

Speaking of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, the game’s creator has said in recent days that they’re open to working on a remake which is an exciting development. In fact, gamers have been feeling pretty nostalgic in general lately. Some are calling for a reboot of the SOCOM series. Others would like to see god sim Black & White make a comeback. The pick of the day today though is Matrix: The Path of Neo. Fans want to see the classic remade on the PlayStation 5.

Matrix star Keanu Reeves can soon be seen in John Wick: Chapter 4. Check out the trailer below.

Fans gathered on Reddit to discuss what a gem Matrix: The Path of Neo is. User big_ezca wrote, “I can’t be the only one [who] needs this as a PS5 game.” They certainly were not the only one. NxtDoc1851 wrote, “It was an awesome game. I’d lose my mind if we got a Matrix game on the PlayStation 5, especially [playing] as Neo,” while Deadlink1997 added, “My favourite game of all time. Would kill for a remastered version.”

Frufruthehorse said, “Amazing game. I could play it for ages and the combat was so rewarding. Man, I want to play it again.” If you haven’t checked out the awesome The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience, I’d highly recommend it. It’s not quite the same as a remake of The Path of Neo, but it does give you a pretty good idea of what a new-gen Matrix game could look like.

Actor Andrew Bowen voiced Neo in the game, but it would be cool to see Keanu Reeves mocapping and voicing the character in a potential remake. Thanks to Cyberpunk 2077, we know he’s well-versed in the process of creating a video game. Maybe if we all wish hard enough, we’ll manifest it into existence.
