Fallout New Hampshire is a controversial new fan expansion you can play now

Bite-size fun

As a follow up to another Fallout mod, Fallout Vermont, this new expansion is set to bring even more zombies, and a little weirdness, to your game.

Fallout New Hampshire is another large-scale mod that puts you in a picturesque location with less of a post-apoclyptic threat from radiation and one from flesh-eating zombies.

If you want more Fallout, the 18th season of Fallout 76 has kicked off

Much like in the previous mod, Fallout Vermont, the game takes on more of a survival horror vibe with trying to survive in a very different environment.

New Hampshire, from the screenshots, looks like a quaint place with lots of trees and spacious housing. It’s all a bit Stepford Wives, which just brings up the level of creepy.

You’ll find a bunch of new locations, as well as around 50 new NPCs to interact with, all of whose voices are AI generated.

Inspired by Far Cry 5’s Die Young and games such as The Forest, this mod has you investigating a dangerous and secretive cult to unravel a sinister mystery.

Rather than being all-action, the pace of this adventure is a little more sedate and has you talking to folks to uncover truths, instead of blasting them in face with energy weapons.

You’ll need a copy of Fallout 4 to play this mod, along with the Far Harbor DLC as some assets are shared, and you’ll need to access the new map from the tunnel north of Sanctuary.

There’s no mention of how long this story will take you, but no doubt you’ll get lost out in the woods while running away from zombies and that will surely extend your stay.

Regardless, more Fallout is always good and this will keep you locked in for a white longer, especially if you’re eager to explore new stories set in the Bethesda universe.
