The Fallout franchise continues to enjoy its moment in the spotlight. If you haven’t yet jumped into Amazon Prime’s TV adaptation, I strongly urge you to regardless of whether you’ve played a Fallout game or not.

The TV series is accessible to all, which is why I’m imagining it’s proved to be such a colossal success.

It secured 65 million viewers in just two weeks of availability, making it second to only The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Prime Video.

As a result, the video game series has both secured new fans and seen an influx of returning players.

Physical copies of Fallout 4 are selling out in stores worldwide, which is no surprise when you consider that Bethesda announced they’d welcomed a 5 million player boost across all Fallout titles since the TV show’s debut.

A whopping 1 million of those were in Fallout 76 alone. It’s arguably Fallout 4 that’s seen the largest player increase, particularly as its new-gen update has just dropped.

There’s some debate as to how worthwhile the update actually is given that it's breaking some of the game’s most crucial mods, but that’s down to the individual.

If you are in the midst of a Fallout 4 playthrough, I have an interesting Easter egg to share with you.

Take a look at our interview with the cast of Amazon Prime’s Fallout below.

You can stumble across a fake Preston Garvey, as pointed out by Twitter user FilmsFallout.

They wrote, “I ran across him the first time on my third playthrough randomly. Have you ever encountered him?”

He will pose as a Minutemen senior officer, with the Fallout Nukapedia Wiki adding, “He will ask for 100 caps to help the Minutemen. The Sole Survivor can give him caps, refuse, say that they are the general (which may or may not be true, depending on their faction choice), or reveal that they know the real Preston Garvey.”

Personally, I’ve yet to come across this fella so I will now be endeavoring to do just that.

“I’ve come across him before. What’s even funnier is that if you have Preston with you as a companion, he doesn’t say anything,” noted SunayoC. No recreation of the Spider-Man meme then?
