Fallout 4 players discover secret room after years: ‘I had no idea’

How did Bethesda expect us to find this on our own?

Fallout 4 players are just discovering that one very lucrative location is quite literally hidden in plain sight, but it seems most of the player base never thought to actually visit due to the method required to reach it.

Bethesda is pretty crafty when it comes to hiding secrets in Fallout games, but there are a bunch of locations specifically in Fallout 4 that have eluded thousands of players… mostly because nobody is lugging around a set of Power Armor and a jetpack at all times.

One user over on the r/fo4 subreddit is urging players to check out the “secret room” above Diamond City, however, and the view atop the structure is certainly worth the trip alone.

But, uh… how exactly do you get up there, even with a jetpack? Well, another user has you covered.

ICYMI: Bethesda recently dropped Oblivion: Remastered, and it's a treat.

“If you're facing the Diamond City front gate from the outside, turn right and go along the wall until you reach the back corner next to a parking lot,” commented user RedditWidow.

“Usually there are some mongrel dogs there. Or if you're leaving Diamond City, exit and turn left. The secret room is up on the roof. You can get there with a power armor jet pack or doing some creative parkour.”

“Gonna check this out rn, thanks. Never ceases to amaze me that no matter how many countless hours I put into this series, there's always still so much more to discover,” replied another user.

Or, if you hate reading words (apologies in advance), then you can watch this YouTube video by LittleJohnPlays to find out exactly how to get up there yourself.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only example of a special area that can only be visited with a jetpack in Fallout 4… and you probably won’t be lucky enough to find yourself near a set of Power Armor next time you find one of these spots.

Better hope you’ve got a whole bunch of Fusion Cores saved up.
