Fallout 4 fans 'nerding out' over feature we had no idea existed

Factorio meets Fallout

Fallout 4 fans are losing it over a post from a player showing off how they managed to turn the game into a scene straight out of Factorio, without using a single mod.

The post in question comes from user cpt-meowmeow over on the r/fo4 subreddit, who showed off how they managed to build a completely automatic ammo factor in game.

Almost everyone in the comments is, understandably, baffled. Some are shocked that something like this is even possible without mods, whereas others want to know how long it took to assemble.

“Me, who stresses out over where I am putting a couch in my home base or where Dogmeat's doghouse should be perfect could never pull off this amazing feat,” replied user _thetruecrystalvixen.

ICYMI: We played snog, marry, irradiate with the cast of Fallout.

“And here I am building half a single conveyor in the middle of the street in sanctuary and abandoning it,” commented user Chemistry-Least.

So, how can you build an automatic factory like this for yourself? Well, you’re going to need to make sure you have the right bit of DLC for a start.

As I said before, this setup was achieved without using a single mod - but you will still need the Contraptions Workshop DLC to get some of the parts required to build it.

But if you’ve already got that, you’re good to go. However, you may want to use a guide (especially considering nobody in the comments seems to have a clue how this was pulled off).

The author of the post suggests this guide from Peabody1001, which they apparently used to build their own ammo factory.

Now, coming from someone who has tried to assemble something like this in the past, all I can say is… good luck.

I remember spending a whole day trying to pull this off and barely succeeding, so I hope you’re excited about spending eight hours on a virtual DIY project.
