It turns out that the opening area in Fallout 4 is hiding a large secret, and many of us might have all missed it.

Bethesda’s games are full of hidden secrets, that’s kind of the studio’s MO by this point. You’re not really playing a Fallout game until you find a random crate located underneath a lake that has a secret plasma rifle hiding inside it.

Fallout 4 is especially full of this kind of stuff. It was the first one in the series on Xbox One and PS4, after all, so hardware improvements meant Bethesda could cram more secrets into the game world.

I bet we’ve all scoured every inch of that opening area in Fallout 4 too, but did you know about this hidden secret?

As spotted by YouTuber Amsterdam Gaming, a very rare robotics model can be found in the opening area of Fallout 4, and it seems like one of those things you’ll have always walked past but never spotted.

Starting at Poseidon Reservoir, which is due south of Vault 111 and Sanctuary, head across the northeast side of the lake. Eventually, you’ll find what appears to be an abandoned shed.

Inside the shed, you’ll find Robot Model Kit Parts. Pick it up and you’ll hear a sound effect as if you’re assembling something.

A Robot Parts Model will appear in its place, which you can also add to your inventory.

As Amsterdam Gaming recommends, feel free to place this model somewhere in one of your settlements. It should appear as a possible prop when you go to decorate.

Of course, Fallout 4 has so many more secrets left to uncover. It’s possible that there may even be one or two that have still gone unnoticed after nearly a decade.

As is always the case with these games, it’s best to always just stray from the beaten path to see if you can find any of these hidden easter eggs.
