A new report suggests that new Fallout 4 DLC is on the way, and it could be a little controversial.
Bethesda games are known for their large expansions that go beyond the scope of what the original games aimed for. If you look at games like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3, you’ll see just what the publisher is capable of.
Fallout 4 is another such example, where absolute banger DLC like Far Harbor and Nuka World expanded on the game in meaningful ways.
Now, it seems as though Fallout 4 will be getting a lot of new DLC, if a new report is to be believed.

According to JuiceHead, a YouTube channel devoted to modding and updates across various Bethesda games, Fallout 4 is set to receive extended support for paid mods later this year.
JuiceHead has teased in the past that a new update will be coming to Fallout 4 before the end of the year, and that the “core of this new update will be around creations coming to Fallout 4. That being the same paid mod system we saw get added to Skyrim and launched alongside free mods in Starfield.”

As Fallout 4 players will know, the game already has a “Creation Club”, which are essentially paid mods that are sanctioned, tested and sold by Bethesda via the in-game Creation Club.
However, Creations is a bit looser with this definition. It’s no longer a club anymore, but open to more people to upload and release mods, free or paid. This is the system that Skyrim and Starfield use, however Fallout 4 never received this update.
Although it's less curated, it does mean that a wider range of mods can be published on the platform, ultimately making modded playthroughs more diverse like they are on PC.
But it seems like this will be set to change if Fallout 4 gets its next update later this year. It’s possible that it could be a new “Anniversary Edition” update similar to the one Skyrim received in 2021.

Since nothing has been announced by Bethesda yet, be sure to take all of this with a grain of salt. If anything is going to be announced, I imagine it’ll happen around November time, which is the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4.
