As we near the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4, Bethesda are hard at work planning how to celebrate the big event.
The studio is hard at work on The Elder Scrolls VI, but they will hopefully be showing some love to their other child, Fallout.
According to a recent report from YouTuber JuiceHead, one part of the celebrations could be a major overhaul to the modding system offered in-game.
However, some fans may see this as a very controversial change, as Bethesda aims to change the system over to the now familiar Creations feature.

This scheme allows modders to create new mods and charge for them, utilising the internal team who vets each mod and uploads them to the game store.
This isn’t always seen as a positive step for players who find themselves having to pay for content that is usually free, especially on PC.
As it stands, Fallout 4 doesn’t currently use the system, despite Starfield and Skyrim both having Creations pages.
This could change as we get closer to the anniversary, and of course, the all-important second season of the TV adaptation from Amazon Prime.

Bethesda will likely want to shine a spotlight on the game, bringing in more players with fresh content and things to keep them busy.
Mods can provide players with new quests, items, or even whole new maps to explore.
If this turns out to be true, it could be a boon for many players, as long as it doesn’t limit what PC players can already access.
Rumour has it that we’ll soon see a 10th anniversary edition of Fallout 4, which will bundle all previous content, fix prominent bugs and issues, and introduce the new Creations page.

Seeing as Bethesda previously released a 10th anniversary edition of Skyrim, the likelihood of this is looking good.
