Fallout 5 remains a long way off, but I wouldn’t exactly say the fandom is starved of content.
In fact, I’d argue the complete opposite.
Prime Video’s Fallout will soon premiere its second season - on 17 December, to be exact - whilst Fallout 76 is set to launch its Burning Springs update on 2 December.
And then there’s the upcoming launch of the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition on 10 November, celebrating 10 years of the beloved RPG.

Available digitally across PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the Anniversary Edition includes the base game as well as Fallout 4’s six official add-ons.
Those are Automatron, Far Harbour, Nuka-World, and the Workshop expansions.
The new release also adds a ton of new content in the form of Creation Club, well, creations.
Over 150 pieces of Creation Club content will be added, including new weapons, Dogmeat breeds, and quest expansions.

It’s also now come to light that several issues will be rectified first introduced when Fallout 4’s new-gen patch dropped in 2024.
As spotted by Twitter/X creator SleepisforT, Bethesda is set to address the NPC stutter bug and VATS issues in the Anniversary Edition.
“VATS Accuracy: VATS hit chances are now consistent across platforms and no longer drop to 0% or show incorrect values,” patch notes read.

“Targeting enemies through walls without the Penetrator perk is no longer possible.”
As for NPC Visual Creations, the update will fix “stuttering and hitching caused by Creations that edit NPC visuals”.
While these changes are confirmed for the Anniversary Edition of Fallout 4, I’d expect them to be rolled out across all editions of the game; it doesn’t make sense to leave the vast majority of players behind.
Players are thrilled with the announced changes
The response to these changes has already been overwhelmingly positive.

“Can’t wait to explore the Wastelands again,” remarked Twitter/X user CrAzYnSaIn.
“No way!! That is so awesome to hear. I’ve been waiting for them to do that,” added Midknightwolf85.
Of course, there are plenty of other changes players want to see made.
“I’m not seeing Photo Mode mentioned anywhere. But hopefully someone can mod one in,” said ZeroFoxFX.
