Fallout 3’s alleged remaster, one of the worst kept secrets in recent history, has now been confirmed via a new listing on an online retailer.
US toy company McFarlane Toys has added a new listing for an item called “McFarlane Elite Edition 7IN – Fallout 3 Remastered – Nuka Cola” on Brodepot.
The item appears to be a replica of a Nuka Cola bottle, a parody of the real world Coca Cola brand, which has appeared in nearly every entry of the series.
The release comes alongside items based on other franchises, including Helldivers 2 and Ghost Machine, and the fact that it refers to “Fallout 3 Remastered” as opposed to simply “Fallout” is the interesting thing here.

It’s also slated to release on 31 August, 2026, which may hint at a possible release window for the remaster.
Merchandise is often released before a game’s release date to cash in on the pre-launch hype, but this at least tells us when the game could be officially announced.
Bethesda is still yet to officially announce Fallout 3 Remastered.

Does The Fallout 3 Remaster Really Exist?
The game was acknowledged in the leaked documents from FTC v. Microsoft, a lawsuit in 2022-23 which saw a temporary injunction triggered by The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against Microsoft in its efforts to acquire Activision Blizzard.
One leaked document from the lawsuit claimed that Bethesda was planning to release Fallout 3 Remastered in 2024.
Obviously, that did not come to pass.
However, it’s pretty clear that plans were somewhat shifted, as the document also revealed that the Oblivion remaster was also slated for release in 2022, when it actually ended up coming out in 2025.
So, a 2026 release, or at least announcement, for Fallout 3’s remaster still remains a possibility. Rumours that have come out over the last few years suggest as much.
Given the success of the Oblivion remaster from last year, as well as the Fallout television series on Amazon, I’d say there’s a massive chance Bethesda doesn’t leave money on the table here.
Originally released in 2008, Fallout 3 has become one of Bethesda's most successful games of all time, reviving the Fallout brand for a new audience and becoming one of the bestselling games during the Xbox 360 and PS3 era. There have been hints that the Fallout TV series will be adapting parts of Fallout 3 for its third season.
