Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a complete visual overhaul

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a complete visual overhaul thanks to the services of a very dedicated CDPR fan.

Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red is getting a complete visual overhaul from a very dedicated fan of the sci-fi RPG.

As reported by TweakTown.com, a popular modder by the name of the not-so-immortal ‘Halk Hogan’, the massive overhaul mod is near completion ahead of its highly anticipated launch next month on 12th March 2023.

Dubbed the Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project, this is a follow-up to The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project. The latter of which was so impressive, that CD Projekt Red actually incorporated the mod itself into the recent next-gen update.

The Cyberpunk 2077 mod is said to add an advanced texture overhaul making the neon-lit streets of Night City look more alive than it was before. It will also improve textures, fidelity, and even alter the art direction from its original source material.

As seen in the release date reveal trailer, the improvements made in the Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project are clear to see and it’s surely set to be received well by fans of the sci-fi RPG.

Sadly, as with most mods, this is only available on PC. However, if this mod proves to be as much of a success as the one implemented into The Witcher 3, hopefully, CD Projekt Red will do the same for the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077. So we’ll have our fingers crossed for that to happen one day.

In related news, following the next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CDPR accidentally added ultra-realistic vaginas to the game, apparently by mistake. Yeah right, we’ve heard that old chestnut before.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, we have its Phantom Liberty expansion to look forward to this year which promises to be “way bigger than Blood & Wine”. What’s more, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 was recently announced. However, it’s reported that pre-production will not start until 2024.
