I wonder if Cyberpunk 2077 will ever be “remastered”, perhaps via an upgrade for the next Xbox and PlayStation 6.

For a glimpse into what that could look like, you can just check the game out on PC, as with the right hardware, it can look damn-near photorealistic.

Here’s the game running on NVIDIA to see what I mean.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those games that just looks good anyway. Even when it first launched in an absolute state, it couldn’t be denied that Night City looked fantastic.

In a video from Digital Dreams titled “My last Cyberpunk 2077 Next Gen Ultra modded video on RTX 4090”, it looks even better - and it says it’s the last video because we’re about to move onto the RTX 5090.

This means that, at the time of writing, this is arguably the best Cyberpunk 2077 can look until we get that new hardware, so God only knows how much further the next graphics cards will be able to push the game.

Daytime exploration looks great but as always, the real highlight is when you’re cruising through Night City in the evening, with the various colours from neon signs and buildings reflecting off your car.

It’s a sight to behold and if you have the income, it’s the definitive way to play the game, if you care about graphics anyway.

As for the future of Cyberpunk 2077, you’re not getting another game or expansion anytime soon that’s for sure, so savour this game while it lasts.

Cyberpunk fans can enjoy a new release though, a prequel to the critically-acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.

PC gamers have a lot to look forward to with these new RTX graphics cards on the way, but they will, of course, take a big chunk out of your savings if you want one.
