With Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion out in the world, players have discovered that one wrong move will cause you to skip the entire storyline altogether.

Released today, Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only expansion Phantom Liberty sees you reprise your role as V as they team up with Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed to take on the political players of the new Dogtown map. Described as a spy-thriller filled with espionage and survival, the expansion will offer all-new skills, weapons and tech as well as an engrossing story. However, players have discovered that the storyline can be skipped over if they make the wrong dialogue choice.

Reported by PC Gamer, the scene in question occurs in the fourth mission of the new DLC. In the mission titled ‘Lucretia My Reflection’, a specific dialogue, if answered ‘incorrectly’, will cause players to skip through the rest of the Phantom Liberty storyline. In the scene, Solomon Reed will give you an ultimatum as to whether or not you want to continue working with the FIA. If you select, “You’re right, I’m out,” the rest of the story will be locked to you.

You will hear from Solomon Reed once more when he contacts you a few days later. He will give you a report on the mission but once the call is over, you will no longer be able to contact him. However, you will still have access to the new Dogtown area. Although the skip option seems like a recipe for disaster, it is a useful feature for players who play Cyberpunk 2077 in the future and don’t wish to replay Phantom Liberty. However, be sure to avoid this option for your first playthrough or you will miss out on an exceptional expansion.

For those unable to dive into the new expansion yet, make sure to check out the latest 2.0 update which features a brand-new overhaul to the base game.
