There is just something about the neon-soaked metropolis of Night City that made Cyberpunk 2077 instantly become one of my favourite video games of all time and it is a feeling which I have been trying to rediscover ever since.

Of course, Cyberpunk 2077 was not the first or last game to explore the cyberpunk genre, with the aesthetic going back many years, even becoming something of a cultural phenomenon with the release of Blade Runner in 1982.

However, there is no denying that CD Projekt RED’s RPG brought the genre back into the limelight as, despite a rough launch back in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 quickly turned around to become one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

Now with Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel, codenamed Project Orion, in development, it may still be some years until we can finally get our hands on it.

That being said, the cyberpunk genre is still alive and kicking and one upcoming action RPG will definitely make you feel as though you are back in the streets of Night City.

Sky Dust is an action-adventure RPG set in a cyberpunk universe.

Developed by Orbit Studio, Sky Dust takes place in a future where society has collapsed following a global disaster, making the line between morality and ethics blurred.

Now with powerful figures hiring mercenaries to carry out various tasks, you will find yourself living in a world where data trafficking is more prevalent than ever.

Become a Mercenary In a Dog-Eat-Dog World

You will become one of those very mercenaries as you embark on a transformative journey which will impact both their life and the life of those around them.

Featuring challenging combat, an engaging gameplay loop and a cyberverse divided into the real world and the virtual world, Sky Dust features everything you need and more from an RPG.

As a mercenary, you will confront all manner of enemies, each with their own unique moves and skill sets.

As such, you will need to learn to parry, dodge and attack at just the right moment if you wish to come out on top.

However, in this metroidvania-inspired world, you will progress through the main story, earning money as you go.

In exchange, you can purchase in-game upgrades as well as participate in other activities through the game hub.

Sky Dust does not yet have a full release date but it is now available to add to your wishlist on Steam.

So if you are on the lookout for the feeling that Cyberpunk 2077 gave you, hopefully Sky Dust will achieve just that.
