A new Cyberpunk 2077 mod has expanded the game’s map, giving you a new area to explore.

Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City and surrounding areas are pretty huge, but five years on from release, many fans have already scoured the entire map finding every secret the game has to offer.

For those who wish for a new area to be added to the game, your prayers may have been answered thanks to this new free modification.

The Outdoor V Mod For Cyberpunk 2077 Adds A Whole New Region To Explore

Outdoor V - Canyon Forest is a new release by Cyberpunk modder Kaoziun adds a breathtaking large forest to the game for you to explore.

The mod adds the forest to the edge of the Eastern Badlands canyon, and in addition to the large forest, it also has a lake, lots of vertical cliffs, and some roads to drive around.

At the moment, there aren’t really any quests to do in this new area.

Instead, it’s mainly about exploration. However, there are still a few secrets and hidden easter eggs for you to uncover.

Kaoziun has also teased that there are further updates coming to the mod to flesh out some of its features.

But really, it’s mainly a tool for those who enjoy Cyberpunk 2077’s deep photo mode to take some screenshots in a location that isn’t otherwise represented in the base game. Cyberpunk 2077 lacks a lot of green areas, instead featuring huge urban environments and rocky desert landscapes.

If you’d like to download the mod for yourself, you can grab Outdoor V - Canyon Forest from Nexus Mods.

Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 has also received a few other great mods recently that are worth downloading, like the Silent Bodies mod to help with stealth immersion by making bodies a bit more consistent with real world logic.

If you’d like to expand the combat and levelling aspect of gameplay though, there’s also the Merc Protocol mod which adds a bunch of new perks to the game, bringing new skills and active abilities to Cyberpunk 2077 rather than passive bonuses.

On the other hand, rumours that CD Projekt Red may be expanding Cyberpunk 2077 with a new expansion has continued to persist.

The game already received a DLC in 2023 with the release of Phantom Liberty, but rumours now suggest that a second DLC is in the works.
