Cyberpunk 2077’s second major expansion leaves fans torn

What is it you want, Mary? You want the moon?

Details have emerged regarding a second expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, although don’t get your hopes up because I highly doubt CD Projekt RED will be releasing it any time soon…

As explained in a report from Insider Gaming’s Grant Taylor-Hill, details leaked online regarding a second DLC for Cyberpunk 2077.

According to Insider Gaming, the now-deleted leak contained “concept art, blueprints, file repositories, and some map-based data” for the cancelled “Moon” DLC.

Naturally, fans of the game over on the r/Games subreddit weren’t too thrilled to hear about this (considering they’ll likely never be able to get their hands on it).

“We know that they originally had more DLC planned, but that it got canned due to them having to actually fix the base game”, commented user GeekdomCentral.

“It sounds like this might have actually taken place after the main story? I would have been kind of interested to see where that went.”

“I was so gutted that Phantom Liberty took place mid-game, I always want more of the world AFTER the base game I play rather than stuff being retroactively added in, that goes for any game”, replied user TheJoshider10.

“I get that it added a new ending and all but CDPR really shot themselves in the foot with the ticking clock of Johnny's chip, it's so hard to enjoy the game as an RPG when the stakes are at odds with giving you freedom. I hope that's something they learn from for the next one.”

On the plus side, while it seems that CD Projekt RED has abandoned this Moon DLC, there is a chance it might still pop up elsewhere.

That’s because there’s a pretty good chance that the developer might recycle this content and use it in Cyberpunk 2.

I mean, it would be a shame to let all that hard work go to waste (plus, going to the moon sounds cool).
