Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to the tail end of its renaissance, with the final updates coming soon from CD Projekt Red, the expansion of the world into anime and comics, and the release on Nintendo Switch 2.
Plans are already in motion for the sequel, and it’s currently rumoured to have a multiplayer element, but if that’s too long of a wait for you, a clever modder is working on bringing multiplayer to Cyberpunk 2077.
Titled CyberMP, the mod will be available for PC, and it allows players to hang out in Night City together.
While work is ticking over slowly, and the full support may not be for some time, there have been some tests, and it seems the creator is happy with where the project stands.

The creator took to YouTube to give an update on the mod, saying, “I’ve been deeply focused on development, using the time to fix numerous bugs, implement improvements, and add exciting new features.”
The video shows several people exploring Night City, and while there are no missions to complete together, that hasn’t stopped the excitement from fans.
“This mod will make us so happy one day…” said one YouTube commenter.
The potential here has players thinking of new ways to experience the CD Projekt Red RPG.

“Cyberpunk role play would go hard, this mod alone may bring the game back into a new hype. Maybe GTA levels?” said another fan.
This focus on role play is perhaps key to the future success of the mod, with another players saying, “Night City RP would take over my life.”
Night City is the perfect place to role play with all the different gangs, districts, and opportunities, and this could certainly see a huge following on streaming platforms as we’ve seen with GTA Online.
If roaming around with your mates sounds like a good time, you should keep one eye on the progress.
