CD Projekt Red has realised what we once thought impossible; after a disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, they kept on updating the game, delivering huge improvements and finally getting the game to the state everyone wanted.
However, if there’s still one thing missing, it’s the ability to jump into Night City with your friends and cause chaos, or hang out in bars together, making Cyberpunk 2077 feel even more alive.
The potential here is massive, and it’s fallen to modder CyberMP, who has been actively working on bringing multiplayer to the game.

CyberMP has showcased a recent update which shows several people exploring and driving through Night City together, showing that the possibilities for Cyberpunk role-playing can exist.
This hasn’t escaped the notice of fans, with one YouTube commenter saying, “Cyberpunk role-play would go hard, this mod alone may bring the game back into a new hype. Maybe GTA levels?”
GTA V has long held high numbers of players who role-play within the online servers, bringing original characters to life and interacting with each other.
Cyberpunk 2077’s backdrop of seedy futurism would be the ideal setting for players to explore new ways to role-play, or simply hang out with one another in their favourite game.

There’s still a lot of work to go into the mod, and of course, this will only be available for PC players, but it’s clear that this is something fans want.
“I’M BEYOND READY, you guys are absolutely crushing it,” said one commenter.
Another jumped in to say, “How does this project not have hundreds of thousands of subscribers already? This is so cool!”
With CD Projekt Red moving forward with the sequel, supposedly named Cyberpunk 2, we could see multiplayer shenanigans appear officially, but for now, we’ll be awaiting this mod and the chance to drive around the city with mates.
