The Pokémon Company has dropped new anniversary logos for the franchise, which celebrates its 30th birthday later this week.
On 27 February, Pokémon will be celebrating 30 years on the planet, and what better way to do that than with a little bit of community participation?
To help with the festivities, Pokémon has released new 30th anniversary logos for pretty much every Pokémon that exists. Yep, all 1,025 of them.
As announced on the official Pokémon social media accounts, logos for the franchise’s 30th anniversary can now be found in five cities across Japan on advertising banners.

X user Stealth40k has shared some images of what this looks like at Shinjuku Station, located in Tokyo, with a huge stretch of images showing off every logo that has been made for the anniversary.
What’s more, one dedicated fan has created a site where you can see what Pokémon you are through these new anniversary logos.
All you have to simply do is tap on the image and it’ll draft a post for you. Post it, and following this the account will reply back to you with a random 30th anniversary logo.
It’s completely random which one you get. I did the promotion myself and got Simisage, not quite the result I was expecting, but fun regardless.
Be sure to let us know which Pokémon you ended up getting. I’m especially curious if anyone is able to get any of the original 151 Pokémon that appeared in the first generation.
Pokémon Has Big Plans For The Franchise's 30th Anniversary
Speaking of Gen 1, Nintendo recently announced that the Game Boy Advance remakes of Pokémon Red and Green, titled FireRed and LeafGreen, will be releasing on Nintendo Switch later this month.
The remakes will be sold for £16.99 / $19.99 each, and come with all the features that were included in the original Game Boy Advance versions. They’ll both release on 27 February, 2026.
Despite the rather steep price for games which are over 20 years old, that hasn’t stopped them from climbing the Nintendo Switch eShop’s charts.
The games have claimed the top two spots on the store, with FireRed being the more popular one. Despite this, there has been some controversy surrounding the localisation for these titles, where separate versions for each language have been sold separately.
On the other hand, the anniversary should also bring us an official announcement for Gen 10 of the franchise, expected to introduce a load of new Pokémon as well as a brand new pair of games.
