Following the launch of Bubbly Basin, Nintendo has now teased what we can expect from the second wave of Pokémon Pokopia's paid DLC expansion pass.
Despite only launching in March of this year, Pokémon Pokopia has already dropped tons of new content for players.
All players have been able to enjoy the title's 2.0 update for some time now, which includes the added ability to dive, massively expanding where you can build in the pre-existing biomes.
For those who have picked up the paid expansion pass, they can also enjoy brand new town Bubbly Basin which brings with it its own items, 'mon, quests, and more. As with all towns, it's up to you to help restore the Pokémon Center and raise the environment level.

Now, we finally know what to expect from the second wave of the expansion pass. It remains without a release date but developers have now confirmed that it's set to introduce accessories for both Ditto and 'mon as well as new additional 'mon for you to add to your Pokédex.
It's much smaller in scale than the first wave of the DLC pass, but we already knew that with previous teases just saying that wave two would add "additional new features".
It's not until wave three, the third and final wave of this pass, that we'll get another new biome.

Accessories featured in the update include cute bows, sunglasses, ribbons, bowties, and more. It looks like there may even be some new pieces of furniture included to match said accessories, although little has yet been specified outside of the trailer.
As for which new 'mon are set to be added, Doduo, Skitty, and Braixen have been confirmed so far, but we're sure more will be unveiled in the coming months.
Nintendo is standing by its estimate of "late 2026" for this update, so we're likely looking at it landing in November or December.
As for that third wave which introduces yet another new town, that's listed as coming in 2027.

It's very likely that we'll actually see a second expansion pass announced further down the line. That's because a prior leak confirmed the existence of five towns not in the base game, and this expansion pass has only added two out of those five.
The leak detailed the following biomes:
- Viridian area with a “never ending burning forest of ash”.
- Cerulean area with “a flooded city that has hidden treasure”.
- Cinnibar area with a “forever sealed dead volcano island”.
- Lavender area with a “rotten tower that reaches heaven”.
- Caledeon area with “a giant crater that reaches unseeable depth”.
Bubbly Basin is clearly the Cerulean area and one of these towns will make up the final update of this expansion pass. This means that Pokémon Pokopia should be supported with content well into 2028 - and this doesn't account for limited-time events or other plans that the devs may have up their sleeves.
If you're yet to purchase the expansion pass, it'll set you back £29.99 / $34.99.
