Today is a very important day in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. It’s the day that Update 2.0 drops, bringing a ton of new gameplay features and quality-of-life upgrades.

It’s a precursor to Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only expansion which will release on 26 September, Phantom Liberty. If you don’t pick up Phantom Liberty, Update 2.0 will allow you to experience many of its best features but I seriously urge that you give the DLC a go. In our nine out of 10 review, we said, “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is quite possibly the greatest expansion I’ve ever played. [...] Where most expansions would be content to throw in some new gameplay mechanics, a fresh story, and some new areas to explore, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a top-to-bottom overhaul of the entire game.”

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below.

Enough about Phantom Liberty though. What does Update 2.0 include, I hear you ask? Well, it’ll introduce redesigned cyberware, redesigned perks, a new relic skill tree, revamped police, new vehicles, new vehicular combat, mounted weaponry, an increased level cap, and ‘endless dynamic events’. The update was confirmed back in August at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live.

The devs also went into detail about the improved combat which’ll allow you to kick enemies away or deflect bullets with your katana. Very fancy indeed. If you want to know what time you can download the patch, I’ve got you covered.

As reported by Den of Geek, based on previous updates, it’s likely that Update 2.0 will launch at 9am PDT, 12pm EDT, and 5pm BST. It’s only an estimate but it would be odd if CDPR suddenly broke tradition. Bottom line, keep an eye on your updates all day.
