Cyberpunk 2077 fans have an exciting month ahead following a release date for a new collaboration.
Guilty Gear Strive, a popular online fighting game, is getting a major 2.00 update scheduled for release next year, which will overhaul the game as well as its playable characters in a big way.
However this year a new character will be added to the roster from the Cyberpunk 2077 world, Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
If you haven’t watched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners yet you’re missing out, whether you’ve played the video game or not.

As a prequel series to the game following a spin-off storyline it features a beloved cast of characters, some of which can be cosplayed in-game following the addition of some of their outfits.
The netrunner Lucy is one such character who fans adore, and she’ll soon be a playable character in Guilty Gear Strive. The developers recently announced she’ll join the fight on 21 August.
Lucy’s fighting style mimics how she fights in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, using monowires and quickhacks to dispatch her enemies.
In related Cyberpunk news, fan cries have been heard as a second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has been confirmed.

The second season won’t be a direct sequel, it’ll be another story set in the same world though there’ll probably be a few references sprinkled in here and there.
CD Projekt Red is also in the early-development stages for a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 as well, which is scheduled for launch sometime after the studio’s next game, The Witcher IV.
It’s a great year to be a Cyberpunk 2077 fan, and it looks like the IP will continue to be supported in years to come, with a new game, a new TV series, collaborations and of course plenty of merchandise.
Don’t miss Lucy’s addition to Guilty Gear Strive on 21 August later this month.
