Cyberpunk 2077 gets multiple new quests you can download free

More of Cyberpunk 2077 is never a bad thing

Despite its now infamous launch woes, there’s little denying that CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 isn't one of the best sci-fi RPGs in recent times and it’s just gotten a little better.

Cyberpunk 2077 was initially released in 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but other than on PC, its launch was a bit of a mess. Thankfully, however, when the free new-gen update arrived in February 2022, Cyberpunk 2077 finally began to become the game CDPR had promised it to be all those years ago.

Check out the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty trailer below!

Then in 2023, we were treated to its first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty which starred the brooding Idris Elba as Soloman Reed alongside the returning Johnny Silverhland played by the breathtaking Keanu Reeves. Upon its launch, Phantom Liberty was greeted with high critical acclaim scoring 89 on Metacritic, which is especially impressive for an expansion.

In our review of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, GAMINGbible’s Ewan Moore said: “It fills me with joy to be able to report that this is a deeply ambitious expansion that fires on all cylinders and never delivers anything less than a stellar experience. CD Projekt RED is walking away from Cyberpunk 2077 in the best possible way, delivering on the game’s immense potential and dropping one final, unforgettable adventure.”

Yet, if Phantom Liberty wasn't enough Cyberpunk 2077 goodness for you, then this fantastic mod that adds new missions to the game could be worth your attention. The mod in question is ‘Quest Runner_ New Mission - Disappearance of 8ug8ear’ created by QuestRunner and is available to download now via Nexusmods for free.

Without giving too much away, 8ug8ear is a Netrunner who is met in the main campaign in Cyberpunk 2077 in Japantown and is a member of the Tyger Claws. As the name of this mod suggests, she disappears and you will investigate her whereabouts.

“8ug8ear has been working in secret and was not seen for the last few months,” reads the description of the mod. “Out of nowhere, you receive her distress message, but not from her. It's her dead man switch that is being passed on to you.”

As is often the case, this mod is only compatible with the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 and not for consoles, which is a shame. Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
