Following on from the success of both Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 is an upcoming RPG that you won’t want to miss out on when it releases some time next year.

Set for release in 2025 from the developers at Paradark Studio is Exekiller, a retro-futuristic western game set in a post-apocalyptic alternate timeline. Combining the cyberpunk elements of, well, Cyberpunk 2077 and the western setting of Red Dead Redemption 2, this story-rich RPG is a first-person, action-adventure shooter that is bound to make a splash next year.

Check out the thrilling Exekiller trailer below!

Set in a dystopian alternate reality world in which a decimated humanity struggles to cope with the effects of a catastrophe that destroyed Earth, Exekiller takes the player to a scorched desert where they must battle to survive.

Playing as survivor and Exekiller, Denzel Fenix, you will become a bounty hunter tasked with serving Helion, a corporation headquartered in a looming structure that towers over New York. Throughout the course of the game, Denzel will learn secrets about both himself and his world as his actions put him in contact with many powerful factions.

You will play through a semi open-world map with the game itself focusing on the player's choice. “While completing quests, the player will never be limited to one path or solution for every problem encountered,” reads the official synopsis. “The decisions made by the player will clearly affect the attitude of NPCs, dialogues and possible endings, making each playthrough unique.”

With unique settings and visuals, a linear narrative with non-linear choices, dialogue that matters, character progressions that unlock skills and abilities and the ability to choose your own playstyle, Exekiller is set be the next big futuristic instalment.

Although there is not yet an official release date, you can add Exekiller to your Steam wishlist now.
