It’s fair to say that when Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it largely failed to live up to the hype despite its potential being clear to see.
Thankfully, however, the fortunes of Cyberpunk 2077 began to change with the long-awaited release of its free new-gen update for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in February 2022 which was followed up by its highly anticipated expansion, Phantom Liberty.

In our review of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, GAMINGbible’s Ewan Moore said: “It fills me with joy to be able to report that this is a deeply ambitious expansion that fires on all cylinders and never delivers anything less than a stellar experience. CD Projekt RED is walking away from Cyberpunk 2077 in the best possible way, delivering on the game’s immense potential and dropping one final, unforgettable adventure.”

Thanks to the talented modding community, player's experience with Cyberpunk 2077 can be made even better whether it’s new missions, gameplay enhancements or quality-of-life improvements. However, this particular mod that is the topic of today’s discussion has taken the graphics of Cyberpunk 2077 to stunning levels of detail.
In a video shared by the YouTube channel NextGen Dreams, to say that Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City looks damn near photorealistic would be an understatement. The mod in question is called ‘DreamPunk 1.0’ and takes advantage of enhanced ray tracing and path tracing, as well as custom weather conditions, an 8K resolution much more.
While this mod is only compatible with the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077, it perhaps gives us a taste of what CD Projekt RED’s next game in the series might look like in the next generation. Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
