Cyberpunk 2077 is getting new content in the year of our Lord 2025, a generational comeback for a game that struggled so much at launch.
It’s safe to say CD Projekt Red has learnt quite a bit from Cyberpunk 2077, explaining why The Witcher IV is taking so long, as every little detail needs to be right to avoid comparisons to the studio’s previous release.
A lot of work has gone into Cyberpunk 2077 over the years though, to the point that it’s hardly recognisable to watch launched back in 2020.

There’s still more to come though as what was believed to be the last major update for the game wasn’t the last update at all, as CD Projekt Red recently confirmed “Yes, 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is coming, we have been cooking for you in secret for a bit.”
As you can imagine fans were excited to hear more content is on the way, especially since Paweł Sasko is leading the project.
Commenting on this one fan said “him previously being lead quest designer and then teasing at least 5 new major characters a few months back gives me hope that there will be a notable amount of content coming.”
CDPR first overpromised and underdelivered” began another comment, “Then they went to the other side of spectrum and totally underestimated their game. Cancelled multiplayer and 2nd expansion plans, and released a final patch. Now they are surprised that the game is still selling like a new release with lots of engagement, and so continue to add content. Even released a version optimised for Switch 2 with all the Switch 2 fancy features.”

Another added “Keep humble expectations, this is a fun surprise to have. With that said, space casino expansion and New Game + confirmed!”
Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 is scheduled to drop on 23 June, only a couple of weeks away, and we can’t wait to see what’s added.
