Cyberpunk 2077 deserves its flowers for coming back from the brink of obscurity, and the cherry on top is a port that’s surpassed all expectations.
Following the launch of The Witcher IV it’ll be a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 that comes next. We know very little about what this could entail and we likely won’t hear anything for several years, as at the time of writing there’s no telling when the next Witcher game is expected to be with us.
Regardless though it’s exciting, especially knowing that CD Projekt Red will have learnt from all of its prior mistakes with Cyberpunk 2077 as well as have more advanced hardware to craft yet another exceptional open-world.
As if in an attempt to prove its technical wizardry, CD Projekt Red released an incredibly successful port of Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year.

I don’t think any of us had high expectations for this, as when The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was ported to the Nintendo Switch it was…fine. Nothing too impressive, and it was a fun novelty to play the game on the go, but it didn’t blow anyone away.
Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2 is another story though, and fans can’t seem to stop praising it.
In the comment section of a trailer promoting the Ultimate Edition for Switch 2, fans praised CD Projekt Red’s efforts not only on the success of the port but the success of the game itself.
“Cyberpunk really has come a long way, from rough and buggy launch to new amazing patches and updates easily making them one of the best open world games and now being launched on a handheld console with different ways to play” read one comment.

“Guys I beat this game on my PS5 but just recently picked it up again on my Switch 2, and trust me when I say there are no drawbacks on this Port!” Read another. It continued: “It looks and runs amazing! Running 40FPs but being able to play on the go is a treat! So smooth. Cross save and was able to pick up where I left off and do all the side missions I never finished.”
Say what you will about that initial launch but CD Projekt Red has proved time and time again that it legitimately cares about its games and its fans.
