Assassin’s Creed Mirage will have full Arabic subtitles, including dubbing, it has been confirmed.

Announced back in September 2022, from the outside looking in, it’s seemingly been a bit of a turbulent time for Assassin’s Creed Mirage with reports of internal delays by Ubisoft and even pre-orders being cancelled. However, all our concerns were eased when we were treated to the first gameplay reveal for the latest entry in the Brotherhood of Assassins series during the most recent PlayStation Showcase event.

Take a look at Assassin's Creed Mirage in action below.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage stars Basim Ibn Ishaq as the main protagonist, who we first met in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft has promised that Mirage will have more of an emphasis on stealth and with leaks of a smaller map, it does appear that the next entry will be going back to series' roots.

Mirage is set in Baghdad, Iraq, and is said to be a “coming-of-age story” for Basim, but with an Arabic setting, that might not guarantee translated subtitles and dubbing. Previous games in the series have only featured Arabic subtitles with native English audio, as well as French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and more. Thankfully, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature both Arabic dubbing and subtitles. Happy days! News of the full Arabic translation was announced on the official Assassin’s Creed social media pages.

“We are happy and proud to announce that Eyad Nassar will star in the Arabic version of Assassin's Creed Mirage as the main character Basim,” tweeted the official account. “Here is a short message from him.”

Sadly, it has been confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will not be coming to Steam. In other related news, fans have hailed Assassin’s Creed Origins as the best game in the ‘RPG trilogy’. Do you agree?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox on 12 October 2023.
