Star Wars’ Cal Kestis actor is officially reprising his role in a Disney Plus series that we never saw coming.
When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released in 2019, it had taken many fans by surprise with its quality in combat, world exploration, visuals and storytelling.
Sure, the game always looked like it had potential, but when Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released, it most likely exceeded many expectations for fans of a galaxy far, far away.
At the heart of its story is Cal Kestis, played by Cameron Monaghan (Gotham, Shameless), a young Jedi Padawan who was forced to abandon his training and go into hiding, following the events of the infamous Order 66, which was set into motion in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

I won't say much else about the game's story, because if you’ve never played it and you’re a Star Wars fan, you really should get on that. What I will say, however, is that the game was so well-received that it spawned a sequel in 2023 with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The video game series starring Cel Kestis has even resulted in fans calling for the actor, Cameron Monaghan, to reprise his role in a live-action series or movie. While there’s no indication of that happening anytime soon, we may have the next best thing.
As brought to our attention by the Twitter account, Star Wars Holocron, Cameron Monaghan is reprising the role of Cal Kestis in the Disney Plus series, Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy - Pieces Of The Past.

Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy - Pieces Of The Past premiered on Disney Plus in September 2024 and consisted of four episodes, which ran roughly for 25 minutes each.

The new season of Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy - Pieces Of The Past will air next month on Disney Plus, on 19 September.
That all being said, as great as this news is, I’m still hoping that we do get to see a live-action Cal Kestis played by Cameron Monaghan one day. Fingers crossed!
