Star Wars fans learn how many Jedi survived Order 66, which was initiated in Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
Say what you will about the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Episode III - Revenge of the Sith was a banger, in my opinion. It had betrayal, heartbreak, action and suspense.
One of the most shocking moments in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith was when Emperor Palpatine, who was pretty much Darth Sidious at this point, initiated Order 66, which would result in mass Jedi genocide.
At the forefront of Order 66 was Anakin Skywalker, a once young Jedi was thought to be the chosen one who would finally bring balance to the Force.

However, Anakin was already on his way to being fully corrupted by Sidious, which later resulted in the chosen one evolving into Darth Vader.
In one brutal scene, Anakin Skywalker kills a group of young Jedi with his lightsaber. Thankfully, you don't actually see this mass murder in motion, but our imaginations fill out the gaps.
Order 66 was enforced across the galaxy by the Galactic Empire, resulting in its death toll far exceeding that of those younglings slain by Anakin Skywalker. But how many Jedi were killed? A topic discussed by Star Wars fans on Reddit.
“People complain that too many Jedi survived Order 66. Is 28 really too many? Most of these guys are dead anyway,” posted CrazyMaximum3655.

“Most of these names were either younglings without much training who got lucky, or were killed after Order 66 over the next 20-plus years,” clarified orionsfyre.
“Considering that the number of Jedi was at least ten thousand. 28/10000 represents a staggering success rate of nearly 99.7%. The fact remains that the purge was a near-perfect coup. It toppled the Jedi, crushed them utterly. It's only by the narrowest of margins that the Jedi Order survived at all.”
The entire Star Wars saga is available to stream now on Disney Plus.
