Cyberpunk 2077 publisher giving away 9/10 RPG free, no strings attached

We all love a good freebie, right? Especially when it concerns a game that is well-received by fans and critics alike.

In this day and age, it’s nice to save a few quid wherever and wherever we can. During the current cost of living crisis, life can become a little overwhelming, which is why video games (especially those that are free) can provide a much-needed distraction from our worldly woes.

Thankfully, we have news of a fun video game that can offer such a distraction and it’s from the publisher of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt who also owns PC digital platform distributor, GOG.com (Good Old Games), which is the place where you can claim King’s Bounty: The Legend for free with no strings attached.

King’s Bounty: The Legend on PC is a turn-based fantasy RPG. “Become a hero in a fantasy world of fearless knights, evil mages, wise kings and beautiful princesses. Explore the land, command armies and accomplish quests for your king to reap great rewards... Or suffer devastating defeats,” reads the description of the game.

On Metacritic, King’s Bounty: The Legend has garnered very respectable scores with 79 from critics and 8.7 from users. “One of the best games I ever played,” said user Violett. “This game took me by surprise and I couldn't be happier! for me, this is Heroes of Might and Magic meets Warcraft III!” exclaimed VitaminK.

What’s more, King’s Bounty: The Legend offers two ways to play with its Adventure and Tactics modes. “While playing in Adventure mode you control your hero in real-time, seeking various treasures, fighting monsters and accomplishing quests tasked to you by the local stewards,” the description continues. “Once in Tactics mode, you assume the role of a war chief, leading your troops in tactical turn-based combat.”
