Few would deny the opinion that CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best RPGs of all time and to this day, fans cannot get enough of it and are still discovering something new.

Originally released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, CDPR’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became an instant hit from critics and fans alike with an almighty Metacritic score of 92 earning the “Must-Play” accolade. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was then made even better following its long-awaited free new-gen update.

Much like the impact of the Fallout live-action show from Amazon, when The Witcher first received its live-action adaptation on Netflix, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt benefited from a massive boom in concurrent players. However, it will be interesting to see if that boom happens again with its upcoming fourth season which has Liam Hemsworth replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a massive open world of the Continent to explore full of secrets waiting to be discovered but one Reddit player has discovered a feature that may have gone unnoticed by many.

“What are some of your favourite details/secrets/hidden mechanics in The Witcher 3?” asked seanie259.

“I found out that it has an ecosystem of wildlife. When you kill the wolves in an area, the deer numbers go up because there aren’t any predators,” explained iLikeMelons2. “When you kill the deer, the wolves leave the area because there isn’t any prey.”

I'm not ashamed to say I had no idea about this but I'll now be paying far more attention.

“I never knew that. I'm gonna kill the deer so I don't have to fight pesky wolves anymore,” replied a Reddit user. “I never noticed that but what an amazing detail,” said satanscumrag.
