The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is considered to be one of the best fantasy RPGs of all time and offers one of the most diverse open worlds of its genre packed full of fun missions, interesting NPCs, and secrets waiting to be discovered.

Developed by CD Projekt RED and inspired by the Andrzej Sapkowski novels, The Witcher 3 was first released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and later for Nintendo Switch. Then in 2022, it benefited from an awesome free new-gen update making one of the greats even better.

“You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.”

Its world, known as the Continent, is huge, so it makes sense that there are plenty of secrets, many of which will go unnoticed by most, such as the one discovered by YouTuber xLetalis.

I know that outlets can often say “most missed this” but in this case, it’s especially true. Because unless you were able to look at the Continent map beyond its walls and barriers as well as knowing exactly where to look, this secret will not be seen.

Hidden in a very tight alleyway, is artwork on the side of a building in Novigrad which is a nod to the classic “You’re Country Needs You" poster that originated in 1914. However, this version in The Witcher 3 reads “CDPR Needs You”.

Sure, it’s only a small secret but I can’t help but wonder, how many more secrets have CDPR placed in the likes of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 that we don't know about?
