A Waluigi-themed bachelorette party went viral on TikTok over the weekend and it's the most unhinged thing I've seen today. So it's a pretty pedestrian Wednesday for a games journalist.
To those over the age of 20 years old, there's a social trend on the silly dancing app where guests at a party will tell the camera who they think amongst them will be the drunkest at the function. Usually, as time passes between recorded clips, it becomes more and more obvious who can't handle their liquor. However, in Emily CherrieSorbet Yates' version of the trend for her bachelorette party, everyone couldn't take their eyes off the incredible "Wah-sonas" costumes.
Check out the trailer for the new Booster Course Pass wave of tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe below! Wah.
Yates herself was "Elvis Waluigi" and she was accompanied by "Cowboy Waluigi", "Sexy Firefighter Waluigi", "Cult Waluigi", "Chef Waluigi", "Pirate Waluigi", and "Strongman Waluigi". It's tough to choose a favourite, but can we hear a little commotion for the custom Waluigi ouija board. Waluija board?
“I knew when I was thinking about my future bachelorette party that I wanted to do a chaotic costume night,” said Yates in an interview with Kotaku, opting for Waluigi for his relentless "pure chaotic energy" and "iconic" garb. “When we were actually out bar-hopping in costume, we got a lot of really great reactions... [we've] been reading every single comment and screenshotting our favourites. I’m most surprised by every comment being very positive and wholesome!”

While Yates' wedding is intended to be much more lowkey, she's considering dressing up again as "Elvis Waluigi" for conventions and even has a Waluigi-themed bar crawl in the offing.
