However you feel about the most recent projects overall it's difficult to deny that Star Wars as a franchise has been through some difficult times in recent months and years as they try to decide what direction they want to take the juggernaut in.
For every highlight we’ve seen in shows like The Mandalorian and films like Rogue One there have been just as many that have seemingly failed to hit the mark with fans, leading many to question the overall approach to making new Star Wars content.
That said there is still plenty of hope for the future and there are a ton of different projects on the way that really could serve as the one release to kickstart fan optimism around their beloved galaxy far, far away.
Now, it seems like those new arrivals won't be the only major turning points, with new key figures coming on board to head up projects moving forward.

Dave Filoni and Lynwen Brennan Move to Co-President Role
As first reported by Puck News, President of LucasFilm, Kathleen Kennedy, is on the way out, with longtime chief creative officer at the company Dave Filoni set to replace her at the top of the tree.
At the same time Lynwen Brennan will also be promoted to a co-president position, taking on the executive duties while Filoni focuses on creative direction for the franchise moving forward.
Fans are seemingly cautiously optimistic about the move, though they aren't ready to praise it until they see the output of the new incumbents take shape.
“Seems like the obvious successor duo but we’ve seen this story every 6 months for 3 years. Over the last year Kennedy has had Fincher, Soderberg develop things we’ll never really know about and won awards through Andor season 2," one Redditor commented.
"Let’s hope Filoni keeps on that trajectory and less on the Ahsoka, Book of Boba Fett type focused projects."
“Kathleen out, Filoni in Star Wars might finally get good again or just more Clone Wars reruns. Fingers crossed,” another added over on X (formerly Twitter).
“Amazing news. Filoni has such a love for the franchise. And seems open to collaboration. Hoping for a much brighter future for Star Wars!” another added.
Whatever does happen with the future of Star Wars, few would argue against it needing to be more cohesive, and this might be the first step in achieving that.
