LucasFilm’s Dave Filoni is excited for fans to see what’s to come, but isn’t giving anything away until the time is right.
The last two decades of Star Wars media have essentially been steered by Dave Filoni due to his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
His next creative endeavour is the sequel to The Mandalorian And Grogu, which will pick up right where Season 3 left off
While talking to him on the red carpet at 2025’s Star Wars Celebration event I was keen to learn if there were any challenges that come with expanding the Star Wars galaxy, after all there’s a lot to explore and it can be hard to keep track of from time to time.

On this Filoni said “You know, it's not that I it's weird. “It's not that hard to manage it all in my brain, because it's all Star Wars, and I would say as fans understand, they think about All Star Wars too. So as a fan, it's just an experience I'm used to, and I love all these characters, and you're just trying to find ways to keep all these different things special, because a lot of people love the same things.”
He went on to say there isn’t a particular project in the works that he’s rooting for, he’s “excited about everything for different reasons.”
At its core Filoni’s stance on the globally renowned franchise is “how do you keep evolving it? How do you find new action? How do you find new characters?”
He went on to explain “It's a great thing to challenge yourself with. I've enjoyed it. This is my 20th year at Lucasfilm, and none of it's old to me. It's all exciting. It's all new. It's all new challenges … Honestly, it’s a thrill.”

While The Mandalorian And Grogu are the next big thing for the Star Wars galaxy it was said multiple times that Ahsoka S2 is moving ahead, perhaps the Jedi will also get the big-screen treatment one day?
