Some smart fans may have worked out an Avengers: Doomsday cameo after one actor clears their schedule for later this year.

Set to hit cinemas in May 2026, Avengers: Doomsday has cemented itself as one of the most highly anticipated movies of all time as it will be the first Avengers entry since Endgame in 2019.

Check out the trailer for Avengers: Endgame below!

Celebrating Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doomsday will see Robert Downey Jr. take on his brand-new role as Doctor Doom but other than that, Marvel has remained pretty tight-lipped about what else fans can expect.

With production for Avengers: Doomsday expected to begin in March 2025 and wrap up in August, it is almost time for its cast to pull on those suits and return to their iconic roles.

However, according to a recent scheduling change, we may have just worked out which other actor will be heading to set.

It is none other than Hugh Jackman.

Earlier this week, the Wolverine actor cancelled his planned concert in London’s Hyde Park which was expected to go ahead on 6 July.

In a statement, Jackman wrote, "Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6th."

The Australian actor provided no other information but many Marvel fans believe that this “unforeseen conflict” may be related to the filming of Avengers: Doomsday.

With many insiders already believing that Wolverine will play a large part in Phase 6 of the MCU, this sudden cancellation definitely helps with that theory.

Now with just a month to go until filming begins, it may not be long before we find out for sure.

In the meantime, the cast of Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps are also expected to make an appearance on set so it is safe to assume that Avengers: Doomsday will be quite the star-studded ensemble.
