The official digital download size for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2 has been revealed, and you may need to prepare your console's storage in anticipation of the November 5 release date.
Although console storage spaces are large enough that you probably won't have to worry about clearing your entire console to make room for one game, the Switch 2's 256 GB internal storage has shown its limitations in the past year.
Many games are creeping up to between 50 and 100 GB of required storage to install, meaning that without a MicroSD Express card, the number of games you can have installed on the Switch 2 at once is very limited.
Thankfully, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake's required download size isn't particularly massive, though if you're already struggling for storage space, you may need to delete a game or two on your console to make room for it.
What is the download size for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2?
As confirmed by Nintendeal.com on BlueSky, the official download size for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is 24.54 GB on Nintendo Switch 2.

This comes from backend eShop details that have been datamined to reveal this number, bringing the final download size down from the previously estimated 27 GB to 24.54 GB.
The Nintendo eShop page is expected to update over the next few days to reflect this change.
The final number is surprisingly low all things considered, as modern AAA games consistently balloon up to sizes greater than 100 GB. So having the final download size be just under 25 GB is the right call from Nintendo, especially with the Switch 2's 256 GB internal storage limit.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake was announced by Nintendo earlier this year in a Nintendo Direct. It was given a bigger reveal in a September Nintendo Direct.
The game remakes the original Ocarina of Time from the ground up, with modern graphics, a new control scheme, and lots of quality of life improvements which brings it up to modern standards.
Many Zelda fans consider the original to be among some of the greatest games of all time, and with such a huge legacy, there's a lot of hype surrounding the remake to deliver for a new generation in the same way the original did in 1998.
The remake retains much of the same gameplay from the original, including the level design and plot, though some details have been changed.
Certain puzzles and dungeons will feature slightly altered designs, and it also features a brand new area called the Hall of Fallen Foes where players can fight enemies and bosses they had previously defeated.
However, the overall experience should feel like an updated version of what you remember playing back in the late 1990s.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be released on November 5, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2.
