This is a tease that many of us have been waiting for.
It was a sad day when Marvel and Netflix’s joint universe was shuttered for good.
That being said, it made perfect sense.
Disney was preparing to launch Disney Plus which was to become the number one destination for Marvel content.

It made no sense to continue airing a Marvel universe spanning multiple projects over on Netflix.
This didn’t make it any easier for fans who mourned the loss of some great shows and characters.
Thankfully, several of those characters have made a comeback in recent years.
Daredevil: Born Again recently dropped its first season, marking Charlie Cox’s full return as Matt Murdock following cameo appearances in the MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and Echo.

The show also brought back Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle / Punisher who’ll soon star in a one-off special presentation.
Filming recently wrapped on season two of Born Again which we know will mark the return of a major fan-favourite, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones.
Beyond that, insiders are now claiming that a brand new Jessica Jones project may be in the works.
This tidbit comes from insider Daniel Richtman who said that Marvel is “considering” a Jessica Jones project, as per a report by The Direct.

It’s not a guarantee of a return and, of course, we should take such rumours with a pinch of salt.
This is something that feels plausible though, you have to admit.
I do wonder if Marvel is waiting to see what the response to Jones is in Daredevil: Born Again’s second season.
Perhaps they just want to see if the hype is still there?

I thought Jessica Jones, the original Netflix series, was great; its only downfall was that its season one villain, David Tennant’s incredible Killgrave, almost made the series peak too soon.
When you debut with a villain like that, it’s hard to figure out where to go next which is why season two perhaps didn’t prove as popular.
As I said, this is all speculation for now, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that Jessica Jones’ future in the MCU is a bright one.
