The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been wavering as of late, but it’s certainly making decent strides in building momentum.

Fair to say, momentum plummeted following the conclusion of The Infinity Saga.

As the MCU shifted away from familiar characters and introduced a tiresome new multiversal threat in the form of Kang, franchise fatigue set in for many fans.

This was arguably made worse by the fact that the beginning of The Multiverse Saga coincided with the start of the MCU’s Disney Plus output, giving fans even more to keep up with.

In recent years, moves have been made to rectify mistakes.

Marvel has reduced its output, focusing more on quality over quantity with Deadpool & Wolverine, Thunderbolts*, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps all performing very well.

Of course, this is due to culminate in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars which will build on the hype even further by bringing nostalgia into the mix.

As you’re likely aware, Avengers: Doomsday will bring back Robert Downey JR. to the MCU but here, he’ll be portraying Victor Doom rather than Tony Stark.

We also know that Chris Evans is set to appear despite Captain America’s arc having ended in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel is keeping a very closed lid on the project with only a few vague teasers having dropped which the directing duo, the Russo brothers have said are clues more so than trailers anyway.

But now, one hefty spoiler has been confirmed by the film’s composer although, granted, most of us expected this one anyway.

Alan Silvestri is on composing duties for Avengers: Doomsday having previously scored Captain America: The First Avengers, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Silvestri showcased himself within a recording studio working on music for the film.

That itself is fine. The issue is that in the background of the image, a black screen could be seen that read, “Armor Room Doomstadt”.

What Does Doomstadt’s Inclusion Mean For Avengers: Doomsday?

This confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday will take us to Doomstadt as many Marvel fans suspected it might.

Doomstadt, if you don’t know, is the city that Doom calls home within the comic books.

Located within the small European country of Latveria, Doom reigns over the city from his very aptly named Castle Doom.

Doomstadt’s inclusion in Doomsday was somewhat hinted at in The Fantastic Four: First Steps with Latveria having been referenced but it’s nice to at least get confirmation, although we hope that Silvestri doesn’t get in too much trouble.

Otherwise, this leak doesn’t give us much to go on. A castle having an armour room doesn’t feel revolutionary, especially considering how Doom is often decked out from head to toe in the stuff.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released this year on 18 December, so a trailer should be here before long.

This summer’s D23 feels like a safe bet for that trailer premiere. Marvel will want to keep its secrets for as long as possible.
