Avengers: Doomsday has received its first official teaser in cinemas and it’s left us with so many questions.
Diving right in the teaser gave very little away about the actual plot of the film but it did confirm that Chris Evans will be returning as Captain America, the version we saw travel back in time at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
Steve Rogers steps off his motorcycle outside his house and steps inside, before taking a look at his old Captain America suit and picking up his newborn child. The teaser cuts off at that point.
It was very touching but as you’d expect the fanbase is ablaze with theories on what this could mean for the film.

One of the big questions left unanswered is when we’re getting a teaser trailer, as I think that’s what fans were expecting here. Hopefully Marvel has something lined up for the end of the year, but we’re not holding our breath.
We’re also expecting interviews with MCU stars past and present to be an absolute nightmare from this point forward, as it’s clear pretty much anyone could return at this point.

Chris Evans himself has appeared in interviews recently and kept his role in the film under wraps. We all know the MCU stars are very tight-lipped with the exception of Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland, but someone might slip up eventually…
Swiftly moving on to the biggest question we have, is there more than one teaser out there?
It’s said that up to four different teasers will be shown in cinemas, with each one focusing on a different character. We’ve seen the one focusing on Captain America but others are said to focus on Thor, Doctor Doom and a mystery character.
Finally, with Chris Evans returning as Captain America does that mean we’ll see a past and present Cap team-up when he’s reunited with Sam Wilson? Sam is now the MCU’s Captain America and I doubt he’s going to get demoted back to Falcon just because Steve Rogers is making a comeback.
There’s a lot that we don’t know and it’ll be a long time before we find out, but we have so many ideas and theories of where this story could be going.
Personally I share the opinion of many that Steve Rogers’ return is a bit of misdirection, and that Doctor Doom will eliminate him very early into the film to raise the stakes and show no character is safe.
