Avengers: Doomsday Sets Trailer Release Date, Get Ready

Just a few days to go

Set to hit cinemas on 19 December, Avatar: Fire and Ash will welcome the third instalment in the James Cameron Avatar series but its arrival may just spell good news for Marvel fans.

There are just a few days left to go until we head to the cinema to watch the next instalment of Avatar with the story set to follow the escalating conflict on Pandora as Jake and Neytiri’s family encounter a new and aggressive Na’vi tribe.

With Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 both in the early stages of production which aim to be released in 2029 and 2031 respectively, Cameron will need Avatar: Fire and Ash to perform well as the Box Office and Disney may have just found a way to achieve that.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney plans to release four different Avengers: Doomsday trailers during screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

How this will work remains to be seen. We know that each trailer will run for seven consecutive days before being switched out for the next (which will encourage at least one viewing of Fire and Ash per week) but what each trailer will include remains a mystery.

Avengers: Doomsday Will Welcome 4 Unique Trailers

Some believe that each trailer will focus on a different sub-group of the Avengers, such as the X-Men, New Avengers, The Fantastic Four, etc while others believe that the trailers will only feature minor differences.

Needless to say, with Avatar: Fire and Ash expected to hit cinemas on 19 December, we can expect the first major Avengers: Doomsday trailer to be released in just a few days.

At the time of writing, Marvel is yet to confirm nor deny this report but it will definitely be a way to get bums on seats for the next Avatar movie, especially with it rumoured to have cost a lot of money.

In Cameron’s words, “It [cost] one metric f**k ton of money, which means we have to make two metric f**k tons of money to make a profit.”

So what better way to make that money than by tying it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the addition of the first trailer for the first Avengers movie since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Doomsday is expected to hit cinemas on 18 December 2026 and will see Robert Downey Jr. take on the role of the next big bad as some of our favourite superheroes team up to take him down.

Further details remain pretty under wraps but that has not stopped speculation, especially with Avengers: Secret Wars expected to continue the story a year later on 17 December 2027.

For now, there may be just a few days left until we see that first official footage.
