MCU fans agree we have the perfect Ghost Rider ready to go

Bring him back

The MCU needs a Ghost Rider, it’s been way too long since we last saw him and with all the multiversal/supernatural shenanigans that have been happening over the past few films there’s no better time to reintroduce the Spirit Of Vengeance.

Rumour has it Marvel wants Ghost Rider to appear in a future project but there are some conflicting claims on when and where.

Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars seems like an easy choice if you’re thinking purely from a cameo perspective, but in terms of a full-fledged role it’s said a Midnight Sons film is on the way, with Ghost Rider as the lead protagonist.

As for who’ll play the character some excellent names have been thrown around, from Keanu Reeves, to Ryan Gosling and of course Norman Reedus, but fans think the best choice has been staring us in the face the entire time.

“Bring back Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes. He was fantastic in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and deserves a shot in the big leagues” said one fan on Reddit.

Robbie Reyes is the second incarnation of Ghost Rider following Johnny Blaze, with the distinction usually being Johnny’s Ghost Rider riding a motorcycle whereas Robbie’s drives a muscle car. The spirits possessing them are also different, with Johnny being possessed by the Spirit Of Vengeance whereas Robbie possessed by Eli Morrow, a deceased serial killing satanist.

To get back on track though Robbie appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and when we last saw him he was stepping through a portal to hell.

“Perfect setup to bring him back” read another comment, “but I'd want them to do something about the way his face looked. Something about the teeth bothered me.” Another added “He was perfect for it. I'd love to see him again as Ghost Rider.”

The question is will Gabriel Luna have the availability? As he’ll soon be playing Tommy again in The Last Of Us Season 3, maybe Season 4 depending on how things play out.
