MCU fans already losing it over Avengers: Secret Wars' 'massive' cast

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are on the not-so-distant horizon and as a result, fans are freaking out about their potentially massive casts.

Releasing in 2026 and 2027 respectively, the Avengers are back.

Well, the newest line-up of Avengers at least as Marvel heads into Phase 6 of its Cinematic Universe.

Kicking off with Avengers: Doomsday before being followed by Avengers: Secret Wars a year later, the story will welcome a brand-new villain in the form of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Although our official line-up has not been fully confirmed, we already have a pretty good idea which famous faces will be starring and the movies are set to feature an extensive cast.

Expected to at least star our new Fantastic Four, as well as Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, to name but a few, it is no wonder that fans recently took to r/MCUTheories to share their excitement.

“The idea that Doomsday and Secret Wars will have an even more massive cast than this, and greater moments is insane,” one user posted, alongside a video of the iconic Avengers Assemble scene from Avengers: Endgame.

“If Endgame already had this many characters, my God, just imagine Doomsday, and even Secret Wars.”

It was not long before the comments came flooding in with fans sharing the excitement for the future of the MCU.

“I still get chills every time I watch this scene,” user GodFlintstone commented.

“Experiencing this in a packed theatre for the first time was probably the greatest movie watching experience of my life. I don't think that Doomsday or Secret Wars can equal - much less top - this moment.

I just hope the movies are a good time.”

With just over a year to go until Avengers: Doomsday hits cinemas, let us hope the long Avengers hiatus has been worth it.
