According to one insider, Ryan Gosling is being eyed for a role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Avengers: Doomsday, and the role they reportedly want him for may surprise you…
Oh but, don’t worry, they’re not actually going to make him play Black Panther. The power of the memes may be strong, but I don’t think they’re strong enough to make Disney commit a PR nightmare just for a giggle.
As reported by Marvel Cinematic Universe insider MyTimeToShine on Twitter (per Comic Book Movie’s Josh Wilding), the Russo Brothers are apparently keen to get Ryan Gosling to star as none other than Ghost Rider in Avengers: Doomsday.

Now the leak is a little light on details, as is the case with every leak these days, but it does have some precedent.
Gosling has been the internet’s choice for the role of Ghost Rider for some time now, alongside Keanu Reeves.
In fact, the internet’s desire to see Gosling in the role even led Kevin Feige to comment on the fan-casting choice several years ago.
“Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider… Gosling’s unbelievable”, stated Feige during the press tour for Gosling’s film Barbie.

“Ryan is amazing. I'd love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.”
Honestly, this is one of those “leaks” where it could be true simply due to how obvious it is.
Whether or not the leaker actually has any credible information or not is kind of irrelevant, because there’s a strong chance this could end up being true anyway.
Still, I can’t deny I wouldn’t hate seeing Gosling in the role. But if you’re gonna make me choose between him or Keanu… I think I’d go with Keanu, personally.
