Wesley Snipes’ Blade might be getting a final goodbye after Marvel teases a Logan-style sendoff.

For many Marvel fans, Wesley Snipes is Blade.

As much as the fandom wants a Blade revival, they’d love it if it included Snipes in some way.

Hints earlier in the year suggested Snipes might be returning to the MCU, as other rumours swirled that the new Blade film was delayed yet again.

You really should watch Deadpool & Wolverine

It’s all been a bit up in the air and all over the place, to use two analogies to describe the same thing.

We’re not saying the future is any less turbulent, only that there could be light at the end of this long tunnel.

And hopefully a familiar Daywalker, too.

Taking to social media, Ryan Reynolds did what he does best: stir the pot in the hopes of getting Marvel executives’ attention.

In a Twitter post, the Deadpool star said, “There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market. He’s Marvel Daddy.”

He added, “Please retweet for a Logan-like send off.”

Speaking as someone whose very first introduction to Marvel was by watching the Blade films, there’s no escaping the impact Snipes’ rendition has had on the brand.

“Blade is what started it all… people forgot, we didn’t... thank you for making this happen,” posted Twitter user Jared Kenney.

As Deadpool & Wolverine made very clear, there’s only one Blade.

Another user commented, “I would LOVE to see a Logan-style sendoff movie for Wesley Snipes' Blade! That would be amazing! Yes times a thousand! There's only ever gonna be one Blade!”

The fans have spoken, as has Deadpool, yet whether it comes to pass is another matter entirely.

We’re certain Reynolds will do his damnedest to get that sendoff Snipes deserves, however, it’s in the hands of Marvel whether it actually happens.

Oh, Marvel gods, please be kind.
