Marvel quietly casts Iron Man for 2 new MCU projects

You can't keep a good hero down

Marvel’s list of MCU plans continues to grow after it quietly casts Iron Man for an additional two projects.

What this means, of course, is that Robert Downey Jr is going to feature in more MCU adventures than we originally thought.

You can’t keep this man down.

Will Venom: The Last Dance be the end for that hero? Who knows at this point!

After believing Downey Jr was done with Iron Man, it was announced that the actor would return not just as Doctor Doom but as Tony Stark as well.

Fans lost it at the unexpected but welcome news.

Previously we were aware that Downey Jr would appear in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

However, now his Iron Man will feature in an extra two Marvel projects, though these two are less cinematic in nature.

Purportedly, Disneyland Resort’s King Thanos Multiverse ride will feature Downey’s Avengers: Endgame suit.

Another attraction that’s going to get the Iron Man treatment is the Stark Flight Lab.

If you closely followed the updates from San Diego Comic Con 2024, you may already know of this ride.

Not only will the superhero that seemingly never dies appear here, but it’s also been claimed Downey Jr’s hero will appear at other attractions around Disneyland’s Avengers Camp too.

No, you won’t be seeing Downey Jr on-screen for these new plans, but he’ll still be lurking.

And who knows, perhaps he will appear in the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Many believe it won’t happen due to the film not being about the foursome’s origins, however, anything is possible with Marvel.

Whether the actor returns in that particular chapter of the new MCU or not, we’re pretty sure it won’t be as titillating as the “sexiest” scene in MCU history.

Not unless Disney is taking a very different direction for the Fantastic Four...

With Downey Jr seemingly never leaving Marvel no matter what’s thrown at his character(s), fans are wondering who else may return in other Marvel related projects.

This comes after Spider-Man 4’s Spidey has said that they will take on the role on one condition.

Faces new and old will appear in the next wave of MCU films; the question is, how many more will Iron Man feature in, and will it always be Downey Jr’s Stark or someone else?
